....Richard Reese, Creative Director

Richard brings over 35 years of design experience to every project. He holds a degree in architecture from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. While in Cambridge, he also studied visual design at Harvard University and spent a year working for R. Buckminster Fuller on the Geodesic Dome for Expo '67. Richard worked in graphic design for major companies in Los Angeles and San Francisco before coming to Hawaii in 1975 and has since firmly placed his design mark throughout the Pacific Rim.

Richard Reese's speciality, the integration of graphic design and industrial design in architectural environments, has been integral to the direction the company has taken. This interdisciplinary approach to design has led to extensive collaboration with developers, planners, architects and designers and has established the firm internationally.


......Bud Spindt, Senior Designer

Bud studied architectural design at the University of California, Berkeley and graphic design at the University of Hawaii, Manoa, where he earned his BFA and MFA degrees.

As an illustrator and former sign fabricator, Bud brings over 35 years of hands-on experience in environmental graphics to each project. Since moving full-time into environmental graphic design in 1988, he has been a project designer for some of the major graphic design firms in Honolulu.

Joining Richard Reese Designs in 1995, he has designed and implemented signage for the Outrigger Waikoloa Beach Resort, Coral Ballroom and Kalia Executive Conference Center at Hilton Hawaiian Village, as well as the ResortQuest Kaanapali Shores Resort on Maui. Other projects include large-scale photomurals for the International Arrivals Building at the Honolulu International Airport, large format interpretive panels for the Arizona Memorial Visitor Center and a Sign Master Plan for the Center of Waikiki, including historical graphics recalling the original Waikiki Theater, the previous site occupant. Most recently, he designed and supervised the fabrication of a comprehensive graphics package for the Davies Pacific Center Parking structure, including a 40' mural that welcomes tenants and guests to the Center.


......Dee Decasa - Financial Assistant

Dee has been a self-employed consultant to or employee of over 13 design, architectural and engineering offices in Honolulu for over 30 years, and with RRD since1996.

She has brought extensive experience in MCFMS and Advantage design office accounting systems to RRD, allowing rapid, accurate and economical input and recall of time and cost billing, and other financial data on a routine and as-needed basis. The result is RRD staff and client access to information in whatever format is most useful, convenient and comprehensible to them.
